So on Thursday we decided to go out on our first Charter for 2016. It was great weather and we found the fish straightaway.

The first fish was on the small side, the next one was 5.3kg and we then preceded to get some more around the 1.5kg mark. We lost 2 around the 5-6kg mark and another one which you can see the video of on our Facebook page which was easily 8-10kg (this is on the larger end of the scale). The water temp was a little cold but in the last few days it’s crept up and it won’t be long before the bay is infested with reds. There’s plenty of bait in the bay it seems and the fish are feeding.

I don’t want to call it early, but this year is starting off with a bag. Time to get out there and enjoy the pickings while the going is hot.

We run charters until the end of March starting around $150pp for a 5 hour charter leaving from Patterson Lakes boat ramp. Vouchers also popular for a Christmas present idea.
